Interns

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”
-Benjamin Franklin

I love working with interns – and I think you will too. Interns bring fresh ideas, a lot of heart, and a strong desire to help. I supervise them closely, so you’re getting the benefit of both new energy and expert oversight. Choosing to work with an intern means you’re playing a part in helping a future therapist grow, while still receiving thoughtful, attentive care every step of the way.  And it offers a more economical solution as well.

Currently I have three wonderful interns under my supervision.  See their bios below and email me if you’re interested in working with one of them.

DaVeed Castillo:  Whether I’m working with individuals or couples, my focus is on helping people connect more fully to their emotions, to each other, and to what truly matters to them. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in relationship—I believe healing happens when we experience being seen, safe, and connected.
I work with people who are struggling with anxiety, low self-worth, tough relationship dynamics, or just feel stuck. Particularly with couples, I help slow things down and help what needs to be said land in a way that feels true and kind. I primarily practice person-centered therapy, experiential therapy & somatic therapy, where I attune with my clients and co-create just what’s needed in any given moment. I also use Parts work to help client’s frame inner conflicts.
Therapy with me can hold both depth and lightness. You might find yourself looking forward to therapy, not just for the deep exploration, but also for the freedom to be goofy and real. Through it all, we’ll find moments of wholeness.

Christine Cooper:  I consider it an honor to walk with you as you navigate the challenges and obstacles that life has thrown your way. My passion is working with children, teens, adults, couples and families who have experienced trauma, struggle with anxiety or depression, or are striving to enhance their relationships.  Working with adults, I am able to support you with challenges in your relationship or work, coping with loss, aging, parenting, and any number of events that might be causing you to feel anxious, worried, or at a crossroads in life. I am especially interested in providing trauma informed support to first responders and their families. Working with children and teens,  I utilize play and art therapy techniques to explore challenges with school and family, and in developing healthy relationships.  In the treatment of children, I believe it is critical to strengthen bonds within the family so as to provide a safe, trusting environment.

Lynlee Lyckberg: You have arrived at a choice point. You are invited to step into the spaciousness of the therapy encounter where innate wisdom can emerge through exploration and gentle inquiry in discovering what you truly want for yourself. Explore how your current choices serve you in terms of creating the life you want, and the discovery of what holds you back from aligning with your deeper core values. Creative therapeutic work can gently reveal infinite possibilities not currently available to conscious awareness through an invitation to slow down, explore, and be open to the present moment.
Lynlee Lyckberg is a registered psychological associate who utilizes creative and expressive arts modalities along with relational therapy processes to guide you towards the creation of a more fulfilling life.
